Thanks to your generosity, our classroom bearded dragon Howie has a brand new tank and habitat setup that gives him the space and environment he needs to truly thrive. When our students walked in and saw Howie's upgraded home for the first time, the excitement was immediate — four-year-olds crowding around, noses practically pressed to the glass, marveling at every new detail of his space.\r\n\r\nHowie lives in our science center and is a full member of our Pre-K 4 family. Our students help feed him, observe him daily, and have developed a genuine sense of responsibility and care for a living creature — which is no small thing at four years old. But his old setup was cramped and due for an upgrade, and now Howie has the habitat he deserves. Watching our students interact with him in his new tank has been a joy — they notice everything, ask questions constantly, and treat his care like the important job it is. What could have been a simple end-of-year transition became a full celebration of everything these incredible four and five year olds accomplished in their very first year of school.\r\n\r\nOur auditorium was transformed into a superhero headquarters, complete with decorations that made every child feel like the hero they truly are. Each student walked across that stage wearing their very own cape — heads high, smiles wide — while their families cheered them on. For many of our families, this was their child's first graduation, their first time being celebrated in that way, and the pride in that room was indescribable. These are children who learned to write their names, make their first school friendships, and discover what it means to be a learner. They deserved every single moment of that celebration.\r\n\r\nYou made it possible. Because of donors like you, our Playful Owls didn't just finish Pre-K — they soared into Kindergarten feeling confident, celebrated, and seen.
