As soon as I got the materials, we started using them. The new recess resources give students meaningful choices during outdoor play. The jump ropes and hula hoops have also inspired students to challenge themselves and each other, counting jumps, creating patterns, and cheering one another on. These simple tools have sparked creativity, cooperation, and joyful movement.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their reactions were pure excitement. Cheers, wide smiles, and lots of \"Can we try this next?\" filled the playground. Students were eager to explore the new options and immediately began sharing ideas for games and rules. Even a few students who are usually hesitant during recess quickly found activities they felt comfortable joining, which helped build confidence and possibly forge new friendships.\r\n\r\nThanks to these resources, our next steps are focused on strengthening social-emotional learning and teamwork. Students are practicing leadership by setting up games, resolving small conflicts, and encouraging fair play. They are also being held responsible for maintenance so that which ever games are bought out for recess also make it back inside safely for the next day's play. In the classroom, we are connecting these recess experiences to lessons on cooperation, goal-setting, and problem-solving. Because of your support, students are learning that fun, friendship, and learning can go hand in hand - both on the playground and beyond.","fullyFundedDate":1755986575011,"projectUrl":"project/game-on-boosting-fun-and-friendship-at/9295079/","projectTitle":"Game On! Thanks to your contribution, we were able to purchase lap desks and seat covers that have made a remarkable difference in the daily learning experience of Ms. Hill's PreK 3 Incredible Owls.\r\n These new materials have transformed our classroom environment in ways that are both meaningful and immediate. The lap desks have given our young learners the freedom to choose comfortable workspaces, encouraging independence and allowing them to focus more effectively. Whether they are exploring books, practicing early writing skills, or engaging in hands-on activities, our Incredible Owls are now able to work in positions that support their unique learning styles.\r\n The seat covers have also brought new energy and comfort to our space. Beyond adding bright color and warmth to our classroom, they help students feel a sense of ownership and calm. For many three-year-olds who are learning how to sit, focus, and transition between activities, these covers have provided a simple but powerful solution—helping them stay settled and ready to learn.\r\nTogether, the lap desks and seat covers have brought flexibility, joy, and a renewed sense of engagement to our classroom. These tools have had an especially strong impact on students who benefit from extra sensory support or alternative seating options. Already, we are seeing longer stretches of focused work time, stronger participation, and greater confidence in even our most hesitant learners.\r\n Your generosity has made all this possible.
