It is so important for children to grow up within an environment that promotes a positive rapport toward reading. Reading is a huge aspect of our culture and a key life skill that we all need. Not only is reading a survival skill, it also enhances imagination, relieves stress, and provides us with entertainment and enjoyment. Some students do not visit the library, have books at home or a cozy place to relax to enjoy reading, and limited technology. The round soft pillows will give the students a cozy spot to read books on in our classroom library. The Amazon Fire 7 tablets will provide access to additional books on various topics that I do not have, as well as educational games. The Helping Hands Pocket Chart will give students the opportunity to complete in class assignments. Fostering a love for reading really does begin with a child’s daily routine and/or schedule and their day-to-day activities.
