When students are doing projects related to their interest, they get into a meaningful learning experience that doesn't always happen in the classroom. \r\n\r\nThese boards can get expensive and thanks to you we were able to not put that on our families, and they were super thankful as I was passing them out. We are inner-city school and we are growing fast adding one to two classrooms every year. This is a great thing to happen, but our supplies and equipment need to grow with it and Thanks to you, we have started this journey. \r\n \r\nI will send pics of where the outside equipment will go when it starts to warm up as well when we know where our trailers classrooms will be put to keep up with our growth. Each area has old and smaller equipment that what you donated will replace or be used next to it. \r\n\r\nThe inside equipment will be put together and teachers who have to travel on a cart will use them. Some items the students will not be able to use such as the stain and roosters, but they will be used to brighten up the areas we use. Most of the supplies will not be able to use until after the winter weather stops hitting us hard, wait until you see the pics of what we are dealing with, but will make the garden, chicken coop and outside classroom better. \r\nThe stain is going to be used to clean up and preserve the wooden picnic table near our school chicken coop and the stools/benches in our outside classroom. Weathering is happening and we really want to save them and thanks to you we can use them for a few more years.\r\nThe solar roosters that you got us are going to be used as a light up at night as people walk by. They will also be used to add roosters to our coop. We are an inner-city school, and we are built on the road where our chicken coop sits. We will not be using them until June, as that is when National Yoyo Day happens, however students have been excited to bring their Yoyos to practice and play at recess, before and after school. \r\n\r\nThis is a day my principal has been asking me to perform for the last 5 years, and I didn't know how this was going to happen. You made this a reality for me to do, and I get to use this on my end of year Performance REVIEW which will keep me at a Highly Effective Status! During our pet study, students draw pictures of Mango, write about what they notice, measure his food, and talk about habitats.
