The first project we used them for was a group marketing poster, where students had to design an advertisement to represent a product they created. Having these supplies allowed them to add bright, creative detail to their work, and their personalities really shined through in the designs.\r\n\r\nWhen I first passed out the materials, you could see their faces light up they immediately started sharing ideas for how to make their projects stand out. For many of my students, having access to fresh, high-quality supplies makes a huge difference in their engagement and pride in their work.\r\n\r\nNext, we'll be using these resources for our upcoming entrepreneurship unit, where students will create business logos and branding for their own start-up ideas. These games have brought an exciting, hands-on approach to learning finance and marketing, making complex concepts more engaging and accessible for my students. We recently used Monopoly to teach financial decision-making, where students had to strategize investments, manage expenses, and negotiate deals. It was incredible to watch them grasp the importance of budgeting and long-term financial planning in such a fun and interactive way.\r\n\r\nWhen we introduced Snake Oil, the classroom was filled with laughter and creativity. Students stepped into the role of entrepreneurs, pitching imaginative products to different customer groups, refining their marketing skills along the way. Seeing them confidently craft persuasive sales pitches and think on their feet was a highlight of our lessons. Even students who were initially hesitant to speak up found themselves fully engaged in the activity.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we plan to incorporate these games into our entrepreneurship and financial literacy units, reinforcing concepts like risk-taking, strategic planning, and persuasive communication.
