I currently simultaneously teach both students who are in my classroom and students who are at home. Currently, I have to walk up to the Smart Board to write the math work for the students during my lessons. Unfortunately, when I do this, I am not near the computer that is hosting the Zoom call for the remote students. With the iPad, I will be able to write on the iPad instead of the Smart Board. This will give me the opportunity to still see and interact with the students in my Zoom and in my classroom while writing the work for the notes. Being able to interact with both in-class and remote students while teaching is extremely important. Right now, my at-home students are feeling a disconnect from school. Not being able to see me or ask me questions while teaching is making that disconnect even worse. With this iPad, I will finally be able to teach the at-home students and in-class students equally. This iPad will also help me record videos to help my students when they are lost. I currently do not have a way to write the math work and record my voice at the same time. With the iPad and my computer, I will be able to screen record the math work I am writing in the iPad and record my voice over at the same time. Being able to create and post videos for my students online will help any students who were not able to be in the Zoom meeting during class time.
