Because of your kindness, my preschool special education students now have access to safe, developmentally appropriate technology that is effortlessly and meaningfully integrated into their daily learning.\r\nOne of our fun activities this holiday season has been reading my student's favorite Pete the Cat's 12 Groovy Days of Christmas on the Kindle Fire. For students that don't sit well, they need something to grab their attention. Reading this interactive book on the Kindle Fire keeps students engaged while supporting early literacy skills such as listening comprehension, vocabulary development, and print awareness. Being able to enjoy a beloved story through technology has made reading exciting and accessible for all my students.\r\nLearning through play is essential for young children, especially for students receiving special education services. The literacy and writing games supported by your donation allow students to practice letter recognition, phonics, fine motor skills, and early writing concepts in ways that feel fun, motivating, and developmentally appropriate.\r\nIn addition, the reMarkable 2 tablet has become an invaluable tool for data taking and assessments. It allows me to efficiently document student progress, track individual goals, and make informed instructional decisions. This technology supports accurate, ongoing assessments while minimizing disruptions to learning. During a recent assessment with 2 of my students, we also worked on taking turns, patience and sharing materials. Towards the end of the evaluation, my 4 year old's requested to stay and continue working rather than go back to the classroom and play with cars!! They loved writing on the reMarkable 2 and were especially enthralled with the \"magic eraser.\" I was unprepared for how motivating this piece of technology would be for them and it has made assessment interactions much more enjoyable for all!\r\nYour support has made a meaningful and lasting impact on my classroom. We have been identifying letters and their sounds using the magnet tiles, using the light table to explore letters, how they look and how to make big lines, little lines and curves to write letters. My students had the greatest time with the ocean phonics game. They played cooperatively and were engaged in play even when it was a bit difficult. \r\n\r\nMy students were so excited to see the new materials that we got and were eager to open and start exploring! That have been loving the felt story characters! We just finished up with our Bread unit so, The Little Red Hen\" felt pieces were a perfect addition. The kids even put their own spin to the story with adding characters and different food that Hen was making. \r\n\r\nThe next step for the students in my class is to prepare them to go to kindergarten. So that will be continuing with letter identification, especially letter sounds, phonics work, name identification, writing their names, extending circle a few minutes each week to build up tolerance in preparation of kindergarten. My students' eyes lit up—there was this mix of excitement and pure joy. Several of them immediately started imagining what they could build, create, or explore. It was one of those rare moments as a teacher when you can actually see curiosity taking root.\r\n\r\nSince then, we've jumped right into a hands-on learning and exploring. With the new resources, students have been able to take ownership of their learning in a way that feels more authentic and engaging. One of my favorite moments so far was watching a group of students huddled together, using the materials to problem-solve and excitedly calling each other over to share discoveries. It was a completely natural moment of teamwork and learning sparked by the tools you helped provide.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your kindness and support.
