Because of you, my kindergarten students now have engaging, hands-on materials that are strengthening their early literacy skills in meaningful ways. These resources support phonics development through word mapping, rhyming, and letter sound identification, giving students multiple opportunities to practice and grow as readers and writers. Building a strong literacy foundation at this age is critical, and your generosity is directly impacting their confidence and success.\r\n\r\nIn addition, the flexible seating options and calming resources have transformed our classroom environment. The cozy, calming space created with the beanbag seat and calming kit allows students to self-regulate and return to learning focused and ready, which is especially important for young learners. The Moods & Emotions Book Set further supports both language development and emotional literacy, helping students express their feelings while expanding their vocabulary. Together, these materials are helping create a safe, engaging, and supportive learning space, and my students and I are incredibly grateful for your support.","fullyFundedDate":1760733925643,"projectUrl":"project/supporting-literacy-development-for-kind/9817625/","projectTitle":"Supporting Literacy Development for Kindergarten Students","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hickmon","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7656769_orig.jpg?crop=960,960,x0,y60&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1760193862797","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7656769"},{"teacherId":10310823,"projectId":9825968,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generosity and support of our Stories, Feelings, and Friendship Fun project. Because of you, my students now have engaging resources that help them better understand their emotions, build empathy, and strengthen friendships. We've been using these materials during read-alouds, morning meetings, and small-group discussions to talk about feelings, kindness, and how to handle everyday classroom situations in positive ways.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials arrived, my students were so excited! They couldn't wait to explore the stories and activities, and many immediately began making connections to their own feelings and experiences. I've already seen students using new emotional vocabulary, showing more patience with one another, and practicing problem-solving strategies they learned from the stories. These resources have helped create a calmer, more supportive classroom environment where students feel safe sharing and expressing themselves.\r\n\r\nNext, we will continue using these tools as part of our social-emotional learning routine by revisiting the stories, role-playing friendship scenarios, and connecting the lessons to real-life moments throughout the school day. Your kindness has made a meaningful difference in my students' growth both academically and emotionally and we are so grateful for your support. Thank you for investing in our classroom and helping our students grow into confident, caring learners.","fullyFundedDate":1760464868284,"projectUrl":"project/stories-feelings-and-friendship-fun/9825968/","projectTitle":"Stories, Feelings, and Friendship Fun","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Madison","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10310823_orig.jpg?crop=768,768,x0,y128&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1768355802140","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10310823"},{"teacherId":10309125,"projectId":9818768,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generosity! The flex-space comfy floor seats are a huge hit with my kindergartners! They were very excited to try them out. The floor seats are used often throughout the day. The students started using the letters to spell their names and then discovered they could spell the high frequency words as well. The write & wipe pockets hold a name handwriting practice sheet on one side and a five frame for hands on math practice.\r\n\r\nFinally the 8 tray mobile organizer is used by both myself and the students. Because of your support, we now have an exciting set of literacy resources—including letter puzzles, letter manipulatives, writing boards, and story felt boards—that my students are absolutely loving.\r\nWhen we first unpacked the materials, their faces lit up! They couldn't wait to dive in and start exploring. The letter puzzles were an instant favorite, and the manipulatives have been perfect for helping them build letter recognition and spelling skills in a fun, interactive way. I've also noticed that the writing boards have become a daily tool for my students to practice their letters and words—they are so eager to write!\r\nA recent project that highlighted these new materials is our interactive read alouds. We use the story felt boards to create a collaborative storytelling session where each child adds visuals to follow along with our story. The excitement and creativity were through the roof! Watching them so engaged and confident while using these tools made my heart full.\r\nMoving forward, we'll continue using these materials as we focus on building early literacy skills in creative ways. Our next step is to start incorporating more writing exercises where the students can practice their newly learned letters and simple words. With these resources, I know they'll be even more excited to take on the challenge.\r\nThanks to your contribution, my students are not just learning letters—they're building a love for learning. I'm so grateful for your support and can't wait to see where this journey takes them!","fullyFundedDate":1760309424248,"projectUrl":"project/turning-tiny-hands-into-lifelong-readers/9817736/","projectTitle":"Turning Tiny Hands into Lifelong Readers","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. George","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9574473_orig.jpg?crop=2400,2400,x0,y304&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1760192083795","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9574473"},{"teacherId":3486392,"projectId":8671818,"letterContent":"I have a heartful appreciation for the donations given to my classroom!
