While the class knew who the desks were primarily for, they still loved how there was room for supplies and that one student could learn and work with their own space. \r\nThe desks needed to be assembled, so we had to wait a few days before we got to touch and see them in action. The day came, and the students for whom the desks were intended were the celebrities of the room and felt so proud. There were no feelings hurt, even the custodian was loving the desks and asking if I was going to get more. That they wished every student could have one. My youngest learners in kindergarten and first grade like to stand on them and bounce while they do their phonemic awareness activities. The older students in 3rd-5th grade simply like a place to rest their feet and move without fear of being reprimanded for needing the sensory input that motion provides.\r\n\r\nI appreciate Donors Choose and the many donors who make projects like mine possible.
