The new resources you provided have already made a powerful impact on my students' learning and excitement for school.\r\n\r\nOne unforgettable moment was the day we unboxed the materials. The looks on my students' faces were priceless—wide eyes, big smiles, and hands shooting up with questions like, \"Can we use them today?\" For many of them, it felt like Christmas morning. They were thrilled to have tools that made them feel like real scientists, writers, artists, and creators.\r\n\r\nWe've been using the new materials during our project-based learning time. Most recently, we started a unit on ecosystems. With the help of our new science kits and visual tools, students built their own mini biomes in small groups and tracked changes over time. One group even made a time-lapse presentation of their terrarium, proudly sharing it with the class and their families.\r\n\r\nThe next steps for my students involve deeper exploration and presentation. They're now working on ecosystem comparison projects, using research materials and digital tools from your donations. They're comparing rainforests, deserts, and tundras—asking great questions and applying critical thinking skills to analyze data.\r\n\r\nYour contribution didn't just provide supplies—it provided opportunity, excitement, and a reason for students to believe in the power of their own curiosity.","fullyFundedDate":1695302279410,"projectUrl":"project/ms-connellys-2nd-grade-class/7750526/","projectTitle":"Ms. Connelly's 2nd Grade Class","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Connelly","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9234490_orig.png?crop=470,470,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1754431410263","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9234490"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_41335","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":402,"numTeachers":30,"percentFrplEligible":64,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":5,"percentWhite":42,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":43,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"13.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":65.7,"schoolId":41335,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Clayton Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Clayton Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/colorado/englewood-school-district-1/clayton-elementary-school/41335"}
