This was the same reaction for our students. Instead of feeling like they were stepping into a traditional \"disciplinary office,\" seeing the new additions transformed the room into a safe haven. \r\nThese resources are already actively transforming how our students and Dean of Students work through high-stakes conflicts. I\r\n\r\nMoving forward, our next step is to use this dedicated environment to build long-term student capacity. Beyond resolving active conflicts, we hope to use the space to help student leaders to facilitate peer-led mediation circles. Thanks to your generosity, our students aren't just resolving isolated incidents; they are acquiring lifelong skills in accountability, empathy, and conflict resolution that will strengthen our entire school culture.","fullyFundedDate":1779909643497,"projectUrl":"project/student-restorative-office/10293172/","projectTitle":"Student Restorative Office","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ranalletta","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10513026"},{"teacherId":9241941,"projectId":9208552,"letterContent":"Our students have been using the new resources in our Mindfulness and Movement elective every day, and they've already made a huge difference. One of our favorite moments was during a guided breathing and stretching activity. The new mats and calming tools created a safe, inviting space where students could fully engage in the practice. For many, it was the first time they felt comfortable slowing down and focusing on their breath, which opened the door to some really meaningful discussions about stress and self-regulation.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their excitement was contagious! They immediately wanted to roll out the mats, try new stretches, and experiment with the sensory tools. Several students even commented, \"This feels like a real studio!\"—which showed us how much the environment matters in helping them feel motivated and invested.\r\n\r\nThe next step for our class is to connect mindfulness to movement in more intentional ways. Students are beginning to design short routines that blend breathing, stretching, and mindful reflection. These routines will be shared with their peers, giving them ownership and confidence in leading wellness practices.\r\n\r\nThanks to your generosity, our students now have the tools to practice mindfulness in a hands-on, engaging way that truly supports their growth. We are so grateful for your support in making this possible!","fullyFundedDate":1745846997653,"projectUrl":"project/managing-stress-with-mindfulness/9208552/","projectTitle":"Managing Stress With Mindfulness","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. MEEHAN","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9241941_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y308&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1693488324174","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9241941"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_96526","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1097,"numTeachers":69,"percentFrplEligible":15,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":71,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":14,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":7,"gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"15.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":92.3,"schoolId":96526,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Cimarron Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Cimarron Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/colorado/douglas-county-school-district-re-1/cimarron-middle-school/96526"}
