Botley to the rescue! With his simple coding cards, remote control and a little help from my amazing students, this concept was solidified and confident coders headed back to their computers.\r\n\r\nWithout your donation this would not have been possible. Your donations of crayons, books, alphabet magnets, and other essential supplies have made an incredible impact on my first-grade students and our learning environment. The excitement in the room when they first saw the colorful crayons and the Pete the Cat stuffed animal was absolutely priceless! Their faces lit up with joy, and they couldn't wait to dive into creative projects and stories with their new materials.\r\n\r\nOne of the first ways we used the supplies was during our literacy and art integration project. Students read Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons and then used their new crayons to create their own illustrations of Pete, complete with unique \"groovy\" designs. The stuffed Pete the Cat joined our circle time, making it even more engaging and fun for the students as they enthusiastically shared their creations. The alphabet magnets have been especially helpful in small group work, where students use them to practice spelling, word building, and phonics skills in a hands-on and interactive way.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has given my students the tools to engage their creativity, deepen their love of reading, and build critical foundational skills in a fun and meaningful way. These resources will continue to inspire and support us throughout the year. Thank you for believing in our classroom and making such a lasting difference in my students' lives. We want to express our deepest gratitude for your generous donation to support education. My students and I are very appreciative of all the support towards our classroom. \r\n\r\nOur room has a spacious open space in front of the white board for morning meetings and whole class lessons. Instead of sitting on the floor, students are able to feel ready for learning when seated on our ottoman benches. They utilize clipboards and whiteboards while sitting up in good posture. It's perfect for our class size and we can all fit comfortably. \r\n\r\nStudents have been using their personal book stands during all parts of the day. They use them in literacy while completing their writing assignments and it has been very helpful! They are able to have the book propped open, having free hands to write and manage their notebooks. \r\n\r\nWhen my 4th graders saw my classroom set up, they were excited to be in their new 4th grade space. When I pulled out and assigned their book stands, they were thrilled, excited to read and set up their desk to their liking. \r\n\r\nLastly, students have fun incentives, such as working toward prizes. They continue to demonstrate our school values, showing integrity and pride in the work they produce. It's important to recognize their hard work in the classroom daily so that they leave at the end of the day feeling accomplished, confident and excited for the next day. \r\n\r\nYour kindness and commitment to education inspire us to continue providing a fun, resourceful and inclusive classroom.
