Because of your generosity, each of my students received a composition book that they used as a daily math journal throughout the school year. When the journals first arrived, students were excited to see their own personal books and immediately began personalizing them. It was a meaningful moment in our classroom as they realized they each had a special space just for their mathematical thinking.\r\nThroughout the year, we used the journals daily during math lessons to record strategies, solve problems, and reflect on our learning. One memorable moment was when students revisited earlier entries and noticed how much their thinking had grown—they were proud to see their progress in their own handwriting. These journals became an essential part of our learning routine and supported our next steps in problem-solving, class discussions, and explaining mathematical reasoning with confidence. I don't know who was more excited to receive all of our new learning games and tooll, me or my students! All of the students using these supplies have IEP's and that means they have a learning disability. They need highly engaging learning experience and these supplies have made that possible. My students are enjoying playing the learning games ! They get so excited when I take them out and they don't even realize they're learning while having so much fun. \r\nMy students use the calming corner often and the new fidgets, and sensory tiles have been a bit hit. Often my students need a place to self regulate when they have a hard time with their emotions. These calming tools/ fidgets have truly helps them to be more in control of their emotions on a daily basis. When the standing desk and ottoman arrived, my students were amazed. Their first reaction was not just excitement about new furniture but gratitude. I always remind them that what we receive is thanks to generous donors like you who believe in them and want them to continue pursuing their education. They truly understand that our community is cheering them on.\r\nThe standing desk has quickly become a favorite. We rotate students who use it, and they take that responsibility seriously. It has been especially powerful for students who need movement to focus. They stand taller and feel empowered knowing they can learn in a way that works best for them. One student recently told me, \"I think better when I am standing.\" Moments like that remind me why flexible seating matters so much.\r\n\r\n\r\nThe manipulatives you donated have also strengthened our classroom community. On Fridays, we use them during collaborative learning time. Students sit together, build, create, solve problems, laugh, and talk through their thinking. They are learning far more than academic skills. They are learning to communicate, to respect different ideas, and to support one another. I truly believe their kindness comes from being in an environment where they feel accepted and where differences in learning are celebrated.\r\n\r\nMy students now know that we all learn differently, and that is something to be proud of. This project did not just provide furniture and materials.
