Using a teaching easel is a daily activity in my classroom, especially in building and reinforcing literacy concepts. The teaching easel is a shared space between the teacher and the students to co-create shared readings, writings, and anchor charts that emphasize core concepts. The easel allows me both flexibility and accessibility within my teaching. From whole group instruction, to small group intervention, to literacy centers, this easel is integral to our daily instructional routine. Donating to this project will help provide us a replacement teaching easel to one that was irreparably damaged. My students and I have loved utilizing the shared learning space provided by an easel and our former easel is sorely missed. This easel will help me to continue to provide my students with the quality instruction and educational experiences they deserve.
