There were so many WOWs when we checked them one by one. They even named them and told me what was missing with the broken one. As you can see in the picture, we piled them up at the center of our working rug when I introduced them to the class. It was a memorable morning we had during the first month of this school year.We are going to have many memorable moments when children have a chance to work on all the new and complete set of materials. \r\n\r\nFor the past two weeks, children loved to work on the \"Parts of\" puzzles and they were so happy to see the whole puzzle to be done without any missing piece(s). As for the 4 years old in my TK/KK class, these materials will refine their senses, strengthen hand muscles and foster the development of their fine motor skill. For the early readers in my class, they were excited to use the ELA materials with visual support to learn about word families. In the near future, they will start to write/spell these words in their weekly journal. \r\n\r\nSo far we had a great start for this school year. The students sit on the floor while I read the book to them. For example there was the martin Luther King jr. holiday, so I read then the book I got, and talked about why he was important. There was also St.Patrick's day, and I read the Pete the Cate The great Leprechaun chase, the students thought it was funny.\r\nI have a small library in my class where students can enjoy looking at the books, many are hard for students to read so they mostly look at the pictures. They look and the pictures and make a story that goes with it or retell the story if I read it. I can see them talking to each other, and hear them talking about what happened in the story. We have plenty of snacks that will hopefully last us a couple of months as well as plenty of toys. \r\n\r\nIn my class, some students do not bring snacks to school and are often hungry and in order for them to learn properly they need to be fulfilled in those needs and the donation was able to help me help them. \r\n\r\nThe toys, puzzles, and building items have been very used every day and the students have made create creations with it all. My favorite part of what we got was all of the sensory items because they truly appreciate the calming aspect of it all.
