They proudly organized their folders, placed their pencils in their pencil boxes, and looked forward to using their headphones during independent learning. Students now use their folders daily to keep assignments organized and their pencils and pencil boxes to stay prepared for lessons and activities.\r\n\r\nThe headphones have helped students focus during independent reading programs, math practice, and other digital learning activities. One student proudly showed me how carefully they had organized their folder, explaining that they could now find every assignment more easily. During independent work time, students are also more focused because they have the supplies they need close at hand and can work without unnecessary distractions.\r\n\r\nThese basic materials have removed barriers and helped every student start the year feeling prepared, confident, and ready to learn. Having personal supplies has strengthened students' independence, organization, and sense of responsibility. With your help I was able to make sure that my first grader's brains were being fueled in the morning and they were so grateful for a little treat to eat at recess. \r\n\r\nSince this is a title 1 funded school alot of my students are not able to bring extra food to eat at school and they were complaining about being hungry. Being able to choose from a variety of snacks gave them so much joy.
