Then we completed an anticipatory guide with themes from the novel in which my students decided if they agreed, disagreed or felt neutral about those themes.\r\n\r\nBy then, my students were really excited to start actually reading the book. We've been listening to the audiobook which is read by the author. We stop the audio every so often to discuss what's happening and answer any questions my students have so they can better understand the story.\r\n\r\nAlthough we've only read through chapter 1, my students are enjoying this book and look forward to listening to a little bit every day I see them.","fullyFundedDate":1756260473473,"projectUrl":"project/get-my-teenagers-reading/9640231/","projectTitle":"Get My Teenagers Reading!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Wilson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10213091"},{"teacherId":6731345,"projectId":9731433,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donations. We are sharing the supplies between 4 classrooms with Special Education Study Skills classes in them. The teachers were so excited to get supplies that they desperately needed.\r\nThe kids are excited to have more spots to charge their phones, and their computers, but mostly their phones. Almost every class requires students to use their laptops, but many of them only have a few places to charge anything. Some students even come by the rooms at lunch time or during a break because they know there will always be plugs they can use.\r\nThe tissues are so nice to have access to. Many of our meetings are emotional with parents, and it's great to have access to the soft tissues, not those sandpaper tissues that the district provides. The kids love them too. Still so many kids are sent to school when they are sick, so having easy access to soft tissues is very helpful. \r\nLastly, the paper towels are amazing. With all of the sick kids coming in, its nice to have paper towels to clean the desks after every class.\r\nThank you so much for your kindness!","fullyFundedDate":1758678897045,"projectUrl":"project/basic-supplies-for-teenagers-to-make-it/9731433/","projectTitle":"Basic Supplies for Teenagers to Make It Through the Day","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. K.
