There is less vandalism and trash, which goes to show that your contributions help put a positive cycle in motion! Thanks again for caring for our girls, many of whom are from low-income households! We've been able to take new photos for our website, produce better looking and sounding videos for our weekly school updates, and have been able to get amazing media from our school events. This is allowing us to share what we're doing on campus, and what our student body is doing outside the classroom, with our friends, families, and community.\r\n\r\nThanks to your donations, my students are being able to accurately tell their stories to everyone. The MacBook is the most exciting for my students in that they get to edit their content so that everything looks smooth. Our videos have become more complex and we've been able fine tune pictures of events so that our students are taking pride in seeing the high quality.","fullyFundedDate":1766900969841,"projectUrl":"project/recording-the-growth-of-a-community/9923554/","projectTitle":"Recording the Growth of a Community","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Powell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9306453_orig.jpg?crop=1225,1225,x0,y53&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1764386639531","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9306453"},{"teacherId":4936283,"projectId":9757312,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generosity—your support has truly transformed our AP Physics classroom. With the LabPro equipment, motion sensors, and force probes you provided, my students were able to complete all of our motion and force labs in small lab groups, rather than taking turns or watching demonstrations. One of my favorite moments happened during our first full lab day: each group set up their own experiments, tested different variables, and collected real-time data. For the first time, every student had the chance to handle the tools themselves, experiment freely, and truly see the physics concepts in action.\r\n\r\nWhen the boxes arrived, the reaction was priceless—my students literally **cheered**. They gathered around the equipment with huge smiles, immediately asking what labs they would get to try first. Their excitement was so strong that they spent an entire class period simply experimenting, setting up different configurations, and exploring how the sensors worked. Watching them take ownership of their learning and seeing their confidence grow with each trial was exactly the classroom experience I hoped this project would create.\r\n\r\nWith these new materials, the next step for my students is to move toward a fully hands-on, group-centered approach to learning physics. I am now redesigning my lessons so that every major concept—motion, force, energy, momentum, and beyond—can be taught through active investigation in lab groups rather than through demos or shared equipment. Your contribution has opened the door to deeper understanding, richer inquiry, and more authentic scientific learning for all of my AP Physics students. Thank you for making this possible.","fullyFundedDate":1762276273539,"projectUrl":"project/labpro-equipment-for-ap-physics/9757312/","projectTitle":"LabPro Equipment for AP Physics","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Nemecek","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4936283"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_37931","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1614,"numTeachers":79,"percentFrplEligible":75,"percentAsian":28,"percentBlack":12,"percentWhite":2,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":48,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":7,"gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"20.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":73.8,"schoolId":37931,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Morse High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Morse High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/san-diego-unified-school-district/morse-high-school/37931"}
