Students find value in writing when they see it is relevant. Once the work is relevant knowing that the work will go beyond the teacher's desk increases the quality and ownership of their work and becomes authentic. Students take pride not merely on the graded portion of the work, but on the fact that the work will be displayed for adults and peers to see. LMS has a diverse population of students many of which are students with individual education plans(IEP), these students and others who struggle seldom see their work displayed. ALL students benefit from showcasing their work which ultimately builds academic and social traits skills which is educating the whole child!
