All of my students love reenacting family situations in the dollhouse. They create families with a mom, dad, grandparents, children, and babies. They use their imaginations to have the people move through the dollhouse, go up the stairs, cook in the kitchen, and go to bed in appropriately sized beds or the crib. The kids also use the people and furniture in other places throughout the room. I've seen them use them with my Lakeshore Build a Tree House set, and when they build rooms or houses with the wooden blocks and with the Magna Tiles. \r\n\r\nWe also received Textile Pattern Blocks to use with our Light Table. The students really like creating pictures and telling stories with these pattern blocks. Originally, the students only placed the pieces together to fill up the space. Then, they began to create pictures. One child made a Bumble Bee. I work with 4 and 5-year-olds, and they have been very excited and engaged while learning about shapes, letters, and counting using our new light table. \r\n\r\nSome of the children have been practicing forming letters, while others have been creating their names on the light table.
