We need a Greenhouse to add to our school community. 5th grade will tend to and care for a living organism through the controlled environment of a greenhouse. My students will experience their hard work blossom all year long. A classroom greenhouse will engage my students by bringing what they learn in the classroom to life and have a lasting influence on them. My students will see first hand how weather effects growing conditions. They will learn responsibility by tending to the plants and growing food. They will also have an opportunity to conduct science experiments, solve math problems, work collaboratively, and gain life skills that they can give to the wider community.
