In kindergarten we are creating a classroom environment where students feel safe and learn how to play and work with their classmates. The donations you gave us help to accomplish this goal! For example, the sand and pom pom's are used in our sensory bin. Students work with their classmates while strengthening their fine motor skills. They are also learning how to play with one another by using the dress up toys. They use these in the kitchen and it helps to spark their creativity and their love of play! They practice taking turns and enjoy dressing up!\r\n\r\nOur class also loves using the egg shakers. We use these during different parts of the day when we need brain breaks from our learning. This has helped students mentally when they feel they need a little break from their learning. We put on some fun songs and shake the egg shakers to release stress. The magnetic building blocks also help students learn through play. They have been practicing sharing, being patient, and working as a team to build.
