My students are very active. They enjoy moving about the classroom during transitions, standing when working, or sitting comfortably when reading. In order to support their needs I'd like to help them become more engaged by providing them balance balls, balance cushions, and portable desks that can be used on the rug. I am hopeful that with these items they will be able to stay on task longer and have an option of where to sit while they learn. Having the freedom to move when they need to will allow them to take control of their learning and enjoy their time in class.
