The reduction in noise has created a calmer atmosphere, allowing our students to focus more easily, feel less overwhelmed, and fully engage in their learning.\r\n\r\nIn addition, your generosity provided us with a laminator and laminating pouches, which has been an incredible resource for our classroom. We are now able to create durable learning materials, visual supports, and hands-on activities that can be reused throughout the year. This not only saves valuable time and resources, but also allows us to better support different learning styles and provide consistent, high-quality materials for our students.\r\n\r\nBecause of you, our classroom has become a more peaceful, organized, and productive place where students can truly thrive. They struggle with reading comprehension because of their limited understanding of words. Their writing can be very drab because of their limited word choice. And when it comes time for standardized testing they often struggle with understanding what is being asked of them because of the tier two words that can be found in the questions. They key to improving all of these things is meaningful vocabulary lessons.\r\n\r\nDeveloping Tier II vocabulary is crucial for improving comprehension, expressing ideas more precisely, and succeeding academically. These words are high-utility and appear across various texts, but are not common in everyday conversation, making them essential for understanding complex academic materials and a key focus for direct instruction.\r\n\r\nI cannot thank you enough for funding a class set of dictionaries for my students to use.
