Our classroom looks a lot more organized and beautiful now that we have new bookshelves and storage units. New technology is used during our P. E. class. Students dance daily for 40 minutes. We use our brand-new speakers to dance. Students have received incentives that keep them motivated to come to school and participate in class. New headphones have replaced old headphones. Students received all materials with emotion. A special moment was we unpacked trophies that will be given to the best performing students in academic, social, athletic, and other areas at the end of the school year. Students are motivated to achieve high and do their best at school. We cannot thank you enough for your contribution to our classroom. Students can now easily reach books (and we have more classroom space due to the shelves having wheels to move around). When students first saw the shelves they were happy to see all of the books neatly organized. They were very excited to start using the shelves and read books! \r\n\r\nMy next steps are to teach my students how to tell book genres apart in order to be able to place the books back in the shelves in the correct category. That is where the book dividers will come in handy. I am still in the process of getting those labeled and ready to go! Once they're done and placed in the shelves, we will work on this step next! \r\n\r\nThese shelves have changed our classroom and impacted student learning significantly. They can now reach books easily and we have more space in the classroom. Books are no longer being damaged due to inadequate space to store them. My students have been so excited to read the books. \r\nCurrently, we are reading the books in groups, in form of book clubs. This allows for all students to be able to read the most books as possible. It also helps deepen the conversation when the groups are small, 10-12 students per group. These small groups have also created a special relationship among the students since they are sharing a common experience. \r\nMy students have connected to the stories. This has motivated them to keep reading and wanting to read the next book. I have seen a great change in my students attitute towards reaading and sharing their experiences.
