Global Family is a Dual Language Spanish/English school. About 95% of the students receive free or reduced-price lunch. About the same percentage of students are Latinos. About 15% of the student are from Guatemala and speak Mam. This particular population of students is learning both Spanish and English. Most of my students are the first in their family who can read and write. Many of them act as interpreters and translators for their parents. My students are eager to learn something new every day!
