All of my students are avid readers but as this is my first year in the state and the previous teacher was so minimalist, there was hardly any furniture to put books in. We arranged some desks and, voilá! a shelf, but it takes up so much space that it doesn't allow students to comfortably transition from one space to another. This nook, a fold and roll book center, will help us save space and plastic bins, and it will help create more versatile spaces, allowing for privacy for quiet reading when forming an "L", or for students to be able to easily decide what to read when it is completely open.
