The notebooks that we got through your donation allowed students to freely take notes to keep track of their learning. Students generally write in their notebooks at the end of a lesson as a way to summarize what they learned during the class period. What is wonderful is that these notebooks are kept in the classroom and the pages are attached, so no information is lost, misplaced, or disorganized.\r\n\r\nParticularly, some students who have used folders or binders in the past have appreciated this new way of note-keeping because they do not have to periodically spend time to clean out or organize loose papers and sometimes get frustrated in figuring out its order.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, the extra batteries for graphing calculators also help students have a learning experience that is more efficient. Specifically, with enough batteries, all graphing calculators can be in use, so students do not necessarily need to wait to share with each other. Students could then use that saved time to discussed what they figure out about the math to help each other further their individual understanding.","fullyFundedDate":1755715679450,"projectUrl":"project/re-energize-our-math-classrooms/9591536/","projectTitle":"Re-Energize Our Math Classrooms","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Tu","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp670564_orig.jpg?crop=2459,2459,x40,y524&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1663033201266","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/670564"},{"teacherId":3583505,"projectId":9196761,"letterContent":"Thank you for your kind and generous donation to a project I feel deeply passionate about. My classroom has become the space where students can access period products for free and without question. Sometimes students may not always have access to period products due to their exorbitant costs, so when they start their periods at school they may not have those products on hand.\r\n\r\nOne particular product that's been a hit among students is the axolotl heating pad! The plush heating pad not only helps students with their cramps, but it's also comforting to hold while in pain. Having these kinds of products validates the pain and discomfort students have, and also help them maintain proper hygiene.","fullyFundedDate":1743771373471,"projectUrl":"project/equitable-access-to-period-products/9196761/","projectTitle":"Equitable Access to Period Products","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Vu","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3583505_orig.png?crop=466,465,x0,y51&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1689024599984","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-vu-306"},{"teacherId":3583505,"projectId":9195702,"letterContent":"Thank you, again, for your generous donation to my classroom. This space allows students to check in with me and each other about how their week is going and what supports they may need. One thing has brought them together - their love for Nutella! This addition has already made a world of difference in how I'm able to support my students' learning each day. As an English teacher, having the ability to project clear, vibrant visuals has been essential, especially for my many visual learners. Whether I'm displaying sentence starters, modeling paragraph structure, or walking students through graphic organizers, the projector allows me to present these tools in a way that is immediate, engaging, and accessible to all.\r\nWhat's most exciting is how empowered my students feel with this visual support. Writing can be overwhelming, especially for those who struggle with organization or language processing. But now, I can scaffold assignments in real-time, model responses, and break down complex prompts using color-coded outlines and step-by-step visuals that stay on screen as students work. One student, who used to get stuck staring at a blank page, now eagerly begins writing as soon as the sentence frames are projected. Another tells me that seeing the structure of an essay laid out visually helps her finally \"see the big picture\" in her writing. This projector has become more than just a piece of technology; it's a daily bridge to clearer thinking, stronger writing, and more confident learners. Thank you for making that possible.","fullyFundedDate":1745496328857,"projectUrl":"project/illuminating-young-minds/9268404/","projectTitle":"Illuminating Young Minds","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. G","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9479844_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1708983401433","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9479844"},{"teacherId":8534359,"projectId":8112410,"letterContent":"With your help students have had the freedom to explore different art materials, techniques, and practices. Upon seeing the resources, students have taken time to flip through the books and ask follow up questions. What's been most exciting is to see students recommend these books to their peers.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we would like to partner with a teacher or staff member to host a workshop in which we answer student questions about financial literacy and the like. Thus far, students have asked questions about how to start a business, what it means to build and maintain credit, and how to approach student loans. Now that we have numerous books about these topics it will be nice to hold space where these questions can be discussed and hopefully answered.","fullyFundedDate":1737316965652,"projectUrl":"project/financial-literacy-book-requests/8885405/","projectTitle":"Financial Literacy Book Requests","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Wilson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8142189_orig.png?crop=460,460,x0,y72&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1695146709755","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8142189"},{"teacherId":8142189,"projectId":9142763,"letterContent":"The items requested here have immediately come in handy. Of greatest importance has been the use of student headphones, which we recently used during a series of class visits. We often have students using computers for homework, and sometimes that requires watching something for class. Having these headphones has made it possible for students to engage with educational content without distracting other students in the space.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, having several book easels has made it easier for students to view what new titles we have. We have used the colorful cardstock paper to differentiate titles that have been newly published and titles that are entirely new to our library. The laminator sheets have been used to create book bubble blurbs, in which student library helpers write an enticing hook about the book to encourage their peers to read it. Laminating these bubbles makes these tools reusable and supports us in circulating more materials. \r\n\r\nMoving forward, we certainly want to host more workshops about how to navigate digital databases for academic use. While we have a chromebook cart that is nearly full, having our desktop computers will surely support us in teaching more students about the digital tools available to them.","fullyFundedDate":1743097457716,"projectUrl":"project/maintaining-a-safe-and-well-resourced-li/9142763/","projectTitle":"Maintaining a Safe and Well Resourced Library","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Wilson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8142189_orig.png?crop=460,460,x0,y72&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1695146709755","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8142189"},{"teacherId":3583505,"projectId":8135792,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donations!
