Students now arrive with a sense of excitement, knowing they have a variety of engaging options available to them during their visit—especially during recess and lunch breaks. Instead of simply passing the time, they can choose to immerse themselves in a good book or participate in fun and educational games that encourage both critical thinking and social interaction.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials and activities available, their reactions were filled with surprise and curiosity. Many of them eagerly asked, \"Where did you buy all of this, and how much did it cost?\" Their enthusiasm was genuine, and it opened the door for me to explain how the items were acquired and the purpose behind the project.\r\n\r\nIt was rewarding to share with them that these resources were made possible through support and collaboration, and that they were intended to make the library a more dynamic, inclusive, and enjoyable space for everyone.","fullyFundedDate":1757540025861,"projectUrl":"project/play-laugh-and-learn-at-the-library/9619493/","projectTitle":"Play, Laugh, and Learn at the Library","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Flor","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8990724"},{"teacherId":5934346,"projectId":9327824,"letterContent":"My students have had a prepared and solid start to their year thanks to all of you. I have been able to implement their homework and classwork folder policy from Day 1 and now so many of them are succeeding in bringing their homework back and in keeping their desks organized and clean. Also, I have been able to begin assessments due to them having their headphones. One-to-one headphones has been very helpful when they have needed to take their iReady Diagnostics. We have used the whiteboard markers for their math learning lessons and for practicing their multiplication facts on their math mats and I have really appreciated being able to start these routines from the start. \r\n\r\nIn addition, the rugs have been so useful in brightening and improving our classroom space. One of them, we use for small group learning, we gather at the rug and it's a nice place marker for our center time. The other smaller rug has been great for our calm corner. An improvement over the old couch I used to have. The children have enjoyed the space and feel cozy and at ease sitting on that new rug. \r\n\r\nThank you very very much!","fullyFundedDate":1748313712538,"projectUrl":"project/furnish-our-supply-room/9327824/","projectTitle":"Furnish Our Supply Room","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Rachel","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5934346"},{"teacherId":10023044,"projectId":9543897,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generous donations that helped my students learn more about their communities. Students were very excited to see the new materials and use them in play-based learning! When the boxes arrived and we unveiled the community helper blocks, dress-up kits, and vibrant art supplies, the energy in the room was electric. My students were immediately drawn to the new community helper books, eagerly flipping through the pages to see the different roles and people that make a neighborhood thrive.\r\n\r\nWe have been putting these resources to work during our dedicated \"Community Heroes\" unit. A standout moment occurred recently when the second graders completed a project where they made their own neighborhoods. Using the new crayons and dot markers, they mapped out local businesses and parks with incredible detail. Once their maps were finished, they used the community helper blocks to build 3D structures on top of their drawings and put on the dress-up kits to role-play as the firefighters, mail carriers, and doctors they had just read about.\r\n\r\nWatching the students interact with these materials has been a joy. Because of your kindness, my students have the tools to explore their world through art, reading, and creative play. It's wonderful to see how these seats have encouraged a more dynamic learning atmosphere, helping students channel their energy positively.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, the sketchbooks have inspired creativity and self-expression among my students.
