If you know and love children, you understand and see the impact of not having a teacher within the classroom, particularly in the early years of learning. This year, I have the honor of taking over a 1st-grade classroom that has been without a teacher since August. I am so humbled and moved by the acceptance in which my students have received me. And I am so incredibly proud and honored to be their teacher for the rest of the year. In order to help my students succeed, I have compiled a list of items that would help me transform the classroom into an organized space that is conducive to learning and acknowledges all the ways in which my students show up to my class. The flex seating is particularly invaluable as my experience over the years continues to show me what a meaningful and productive learning environment looks and feels like. "Look, this is my forever teacher. I finally have a teacher."
