The new balls and rolling cart have made it much easier for students to access equipment quickly and have more choices during recess.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, they were ecstatic! Almost immediately, games started happening all over the playground. Students were playing volleyball, four-square, tetherball, kickball, basketball, and other group games. It was wonderful to see and hear them happily playing, laughing, and getting their energy out in a positive way.\r\n\r\nOne of the most heartwarming parts of this project has been watching friendships grow through shared interests. For example, I saw a group of students working together to play volleyball, some of whom I had not seen playing together before. They were communicating, taking turns in various positions, encouraging one another, and practicing teamwork without even realizing it.\r\n\r\nThis project has also had a positive impact in the classroom. After recess, students are returning more focused, refreshed, and ready to learn. Having the chance to move their bodies and connect with others has helped make recess a more positive and productive part of their school day.\r\n\r\nThank you for being a part of creating these joyful moments for our students.
