Your generosity allowed me to expand my classroom library with current books that reflect and celebrate diversity. My students especially enjoyed learning about different cultures around the world during AAPI month and making arts and crafts as well as tasting different foods that went along with the books we read. Seeing my students embrace new cultures and try new foods is priceless. They had such a blast diving into mini projects, from making clocks while learning about Benjamin Banneker and time, to getting creative with traffic signals inspired by Garrett Morgan, and painting colorful pieces like Alma Thomas.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments was during our Black History Walk-Through, where the students proudly pointed out their work on the walls to anyone who passed by.
