We absolutely made terrific use of the castanets in a Tango piece from Spain we performed for a live dance feature. It was a highlight of our Spring Showcase.\r\n\r\nThe trombone stands have prevented damage to the slides by keeping them of the floor. People bumping trombones into chair legs by accident and denting the slides has been a problem, and now no longer. \r\n\r\nThe plastic trumpets and trombone allow students to have a backup when their instrument does need repair, or simply to try out another instrument without cost. Many of my students learn best through visuals, videos, and interactive activities, and BrainPOP's engaging lessons with Tim and Moby help make difficult topics easier to understand and more exciting to learn. \r\n\r\nIn history, the videos and visuals help bring ancient civilizations to life in ways that our textbook alone cannot. In English, students are benefitting from the supplemental reading materials, worksheets, and graphic organizers that are written at accessible levels for my learners. These resources help students build reading comprehension, vocabulary, note-taking, and critical thinking skills while staying engaged in the lesson. \r\n\r\nReading in our classroom now looks much more interactive. Students watch short videos, pause to discuss ideas with partners, complete graphic organizers, and connect what they learn to class discussions and writing activities.
