Thanks to your support, our students now have access to engaging and culturally relevant reading materials in both English and their home language—something that has made a truly meaningful difference.\r\n\r\nThese books have sparked excitement and pride in our bilingual learners. For many students, this is the first time they've seen their native language represented in the classroom library, and the joy on their faces is something I wish you could witness firsthand. They are not only improving their literacy skills in both languages, but also building confidence, cultural awareness, and a stronger sense of belonging.\r\n\r\nYour contribution has helped create an inclusive learning environment where every child feels seen and valued. Your kindness has made a real difference, and I want you to know just how impactful your support has been for my students and me.\r\n\r\nBefore the printer arrived, we relied on black-and-white copies, which often didn't do justice to the vibrant and engaging materials I wanted to provide. Now, with this color printer, we can bring learning to life! Our worksheets are brighter and more exciting, which helps keep students engaged and motivated. Anchor charts are now visually clear and more effective as teaching tools, and students can even print their own work in color—something that brings them so much pride and joy.\r\n\r\nThe look on their faces the first time they saw their work printed in color was priceless. They felt seen, celebrated, and more confident in sharing what they had created. It's amazing how something as simple as color can spark so much enthusiasm and creativity.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in our classroom. I believe it is really an important year to teach students that reading can be enjoyable and this can be accomplished by reading aloud great books. If students learn that reading can be fun by choosing the right books instead of feeling like reading is a chore, then we can turn students into lifelong readers.\r\n\r\nReading \"The Wild Robot\" with my students was a great accomplishment. When I first introduced the book, I heard things like \"but there's no pictures\" and \"we will NEVER finish this.\" As soon as we started reading it, they were immediately loving the book. Then I started hearing comments like \"it's time for 'The Wild Robot!'\" They were even getting upset when we skipped a day. So thank you very much for allowing my kids the opportunity to have read along this amazing book and for teaching my kids that reading can be fun and you can learn so much from reading.","fullyFundedDate":1734099467890,"projectUrl":"project/learn-the-importance-of-kindness-through/8827344/","projectTitle":"Learn the Importance of Kindness Through Reading","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Vega","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/386483"},{"teacherId":6985386,"projectId":8924963,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generosity. The new resources have been instrumental in encouraging teamwork and sportsmanship among our 4th-grade students. One exciting project was forming our track and field team. Our students have trained and participated in races. A memorable moment was our first race on Valentine's Day, where students competed and cheered each other on, showing incredible sportsmanship. The equipment has allowed them to practice a variety of sports, not just track and field. Additionally, my 1st graders are using the softballs to learn how to catch, which is improving their hand-eye coordination and teamwork skills in a fun, hands-on way.\r\n\r\nWhen the packages arrived, my students were thrilled. I had them unpack the boxes, and their faces lit up with excitement as they saw the new equipment. Their smiles reflected their deep appreciation. It was a moment I will always treasure.\r\n\r\nNext, my students are preparing for upcoming races at the end of March. Until then, we will continue practicing skills like sprinting, relays, and other track events. Since our first race, we've added two more teams, allowing even more students to participate. These upcoming events will reinforce important life skills like discipline, dedication, and teamwork.","fullyFundedDate":1733513682619,"projectUrl":"project/play-hard-dream-big-help-equip-tomorro/8924963/","projectTitle":"Play Hard, Dream Big: Help Equip Tomorrow’s Leaders!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ugalde","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6985386_orig.jpg?crop=601,602,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1575434756460","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6985386"},{"teacherId":8921811,"projectId":8800692,"letterContent":"Once again, thank you for your support and dedication. One of my students shared that just like the little boy in My Shoes and I, he and his mom crossed the border not long ago. He told his classmates that he never talks about this.
