They also noted how much more organized the equipment was. Guest students asked \"how can I be in this class\"? These touches let students know they are welcome and safe to be their best selves. \r\n\r\nMoving forward, we'd like to prepare for more engagement. We're anticipating the updated layout invites more students to use the equipment. This room is not set in stone and our students feel ready to meet whatever new challenges lay ahead. It's true the most important in this type of space is the equipment: pc's, monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc. It's the muscle of the learning that takes place. What is often overlooked is how to best manage it. We now have more flexibility in our room layout with the rolling displays and don't have to use tables that should be used for students. \r\n\r\nThis project also empowered students to take ownership of the classroom environment since many contributed to the set up of the rolling carts, cable management and decorating with poster/lights. Students are more accountable for using the equipment and they approach learning opportunities with more appreciation and respect. We still have a few more ideas on the horizon to maintain our lab but we are so grateful you helped us have a more simple, cleaner and organized environment.
