Dear Friend, my name is Alex Ramirez and I am the new music teacher at Pacoima Middle School. My school is located in a low-income neighborhood and many of my music students face the challenges and pressures of growing up in poverty. Our students are highly motivated and have much to offer despite their humble circumstances. These kids amaze me with their love of music and determination to achieve. I believe that a school should be a fun place for my students to learn, discover their talents and fulfill their fullest potential.
