The dry-erase markers with built-in erasers that you provided have had an immediate and meaningful impact on my students' learning. What may seem like a simple classroom supply has transformed the way students engage with mathematics each day.\r\n\r\nOne of the biggest benefits has been getting students out of their seats and actively involved in their learning. Rather than remaining at their desks working quietly on paper, students now frequently solve problems on whiteboards around the room and share their thinking with classmates. This movement has increased energy, engagement, and participation. Students are excited to grab a marker, work through challenging problems, and collaborate with their peers. The whiteboard activities have created a more interactive classroom environment where students feel comfortable discussing ideas, asking questions, and helping one another.\r\n\r\nThe markers have also made student thinking visible in ways that were not possible before. As students work through multi-step math problems, I can quickly scan the room and see everyone's work in real time. Instead of waiting until an assignment is turned in, I can immediately identify misconceptions, address errors, and provide support before students become frustrated. This instant feedback has helped students build confidence because mistakes can be corrected during the learning process rather than after the lesson is over. It has also allowed me to better tailor instruction to meet students' needs.\r\n\r\nPerhaps most importantly, the whiteboard work has encouraged students to explain their mathematical reasoning. During lessons, students regularly present their solutions to the class and walk their classmates through each step of their thinking. These opportunities to communicate their reasoning have strengthened both their mathematical understanding and their confidence as learners. Students are learning that mathematics is not simply about getting the correct answer—it is about understanding the process and being able to justify their thinking. Their classmates benefit as well, since hearing multiple solution strategies often helps students see concepts from a new perspective.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, students were genuinely excited. Many immediately commented that the markers would make math more fun and interactive. Since then, they have embraced every opportunity to use them. Even students who are sometimes reluctant to participate have become more willing to share their work when using the whiteboards. The markers have helped create a classroom culture where students feel safe taking risks, making mistakes, and learning from one another.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, we will continue using these materials during collaborative problem-solving activities, math discussions, and project-based learning tasks.
