My students absolutely love our new rug and have quickly made it a special part of our learning environment.\r\n\r\nStudents use the rug for a variety of activities, including **reading, taking notes, working independently, and participating in lessons. One of my favorite moments has been seeing students choose the rug when they need a change of scenery or a quiet place to refocus. It has also become an important part of our **calm corner**, giving students a comfortable and welcoming space to take a short break when they are feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, or simply need a moment to reset.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the rug, they were excited to have a new space in the classroom that felt different from their traditional desks. They immediately wanted to sit on it and explore how they could use the space.\r\n\r\nAs we continue our current lessons, students will keep using the rug for reading, note-taking, collaborative activities, and independent reflection. The rug has given my students another way to engage with their learning while supporting their social-emotional needs.
