As a reading interventionist, I have to show my students how to articulate a letter. I have used mirrors, which are very helpful, but with a mouth puppet, I can show them tongue placement. This has been the hardest part of teaching my students letter articulation. They were excited when I brought the puppet and wanted to use it to say the letter. With two puppets, my aide can also use one, or one of my students can copy how I use it. We use the tabletop chart/whiteboard during word work when my students are learning to spell a word. Having multiple pencil sharpeners is a game changer since I can place them at different ends of the room but also take them to a center since they are battery-operated.
