Your kindness has made a meaningful difference in the lives of our students, and we are incredibly thankful for your investment in their well-being, dignity, and success.\r\n\r\nAs a teacher at a Title I high school, I work with many students who face challenges beyond academics. Some of our students come from families experiencing financial hardship, housing instability, or other circumstances that make it difficult to access basic necessities. While many people think of schools as places for learning, they are also places where students seek support, safety, and resources that help them navigate daily life. Thanks to your generosity, we are now better equipped to meet those needs.\r\n\r\nThe hygiene and cleaning supplies you provided have had an immediate impact on our classroom. Students now have access to items that help them feel clean, comfortable, and confident throughout the school day. Something as simple as being able to use personal hygiene products or access cleaning supplies can make a tremendous difference in a student's self-esteem. When students feel good about themselves, they are more likely to participate in class, engage with their peers, and focus on their education.\r\n\r\nMany of our students spend long hours at school participating in academic programs, extracurricular activities, athletics, clubs, and after-school events. Having access to hygiene supplies means that students who may not have these resources readily available at home can still maintain their personal care needs during the day. This support helps reduce stress and embarrassment while promoting healthy habits and overall wellness.\r\n\r\nThe cleaning supplies have also helped us maintain a cleaner and healthier classroom environment. Our classroom is a busy space where students learn, collaborate, create projects, and build relationships. By having access to disinfecting wipes, tissues, hand sanitizer, and other cleaning materials, we can help reduce the spread of illness and create a more welcoming environment for everyone. Students take pride in helping keep our classroom clean, and the supplies have encouraged a greater sense of responsibility and community within our learning space.\r\n\r\nWhat makes your donation especially meaningful is that it demonstrates to our students that there are people beyond our school walls who care about them and believe in their potential. Many students are surprised to learn that complete strangers were willing to contribute to their success and well-being. Your generosity sends a powerful message that they matter, that their education matters, and that there are people rooting for them even when they may not realize it.\r\n\r\nAs educators, we often talk about removing barriers to learning. While curriculum, technology, and classroom materials are important, students cannot fully engage in their education if they are worried about basic needs. Your donation has helped remove some of those barriers and allowed students to focus more on learning, growing, and achieving their goals.\r\n\r\nThank you for recognizing that student success involves more than academics alone. Thank you for helping create a classroom where students feel respected, supported, and cared for. Most importantly, thank you for making a direct and lasting impact on the lives of young people who are working hard to build brighter futures for themselves.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has touched our classroom in ways that go far beyond the supplies themselves. You have helped foster confidence, dignity, health, and a sense of belonging for our students. We are incredibly grateful for your support and the difference you have made.","fullyFundedDate":1772129006009,"projectUrl":"project/cleaning-and-hygiene-supplies/10007541/","projectTitle":"Cleaning and Hygiene Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Schiavo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1205274_orig.jpg?crop=1812,1812,x1851,y13&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1733297496797","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/myrugrats"},{"teacherId":9216074,"projectId":8627870,"letterContent":"On behalf of my students and myself, I would like to express my deepest gratitude for your generous support of our classroom. The arrival of our new refrigerator and printer ink has truly transformed our daily routine and significantly improved the quality of life for my students.\r\n\r\nIn our class, we focus on building essential life skills. The refrigerator has become the heart of our weekly cooking lessons, allowing us to safely store fresh ingredients as students learn to prepare simple, nutritious meals. Beyond these lessons, it serves a vital health and emotional purpose.\r\n\r\nFor example, one of my students with severe food sensitivities used to have to carry a heavy insulated bag around all day just to keep their meals safe. Now, they walk into our adjoining room, head straight to the refrigerator, and smile knowing their safe lunch is waiting for them. Having a dedicated spot for their food has removed a huge layer of anxiety from their morning transition and allowed them to focus on learning.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, the printer ink cartridges have been a game-changer for our communication. Since my students thrive with visual aids, we now use it to print high-quality picture supports that enhance their comprehension. Whether it's following a visual recipe independently or navigating a daily schedule, these tools give my students a sense of autonomy and confidence they didn't have before.\r\n\r\nYour support did more than just provide supplies—you provided a safer, healthier, and more accessible environment for my students. My students always find my classroom a welcoming environment when they have everything they need to learn. The students especially enjoyed the simulated blood to determine who was the father by blood type. The students also had fun doing vision experiments with the mirrors to test their optical nerves. All of my students have been using the pencils on a daily basis and it's great that I can to refill the pencil cup. Surprisingly the box of pencil has lasted me to the end of the school year!\r\n\r\nWe measured the weight of air to prove that air has mass with the digital scales. That kind of experiment isn't possible with balances since they don't go to the hundredth place. I will hold onto the extra batteries to replace the battery scales once they go bad. I've already used some of the batteries to replace the batteries in my flashlights that we used for dilation of the eye experiments. \r\n\r\nThe fidget balls have been super helpfully to keep students focused, especially during exams. Some students also enjoy the pencil grips to keep them writing. I will hold onto the balloons for next year cellular respiration experiments and the syringes for next year photosynthesis experiment. I will also hold onto the UV paper for next year's skin unit to test sunscreen experiments.","fullyFundedDate":1773684503636,"projectUrl":"project/physiology-lab-supplies/10028422/","projectTitle":"Physiology Lab Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Romanak","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1748981_orig.jpg?crop=540,540,x0,y210&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1569457136628","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/romanak"},{"teacherId":10102619,"projectId":9883486,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation and helping me provide flexible seating for my high school students. I have used them as a reward for on-task behavior, as a classroom management tactic for students who are struggling, and as a safe place for kids to sit while they share hard things with me. It has also enhanced my relationship building, as often the students who sit in them (they are behind my desk) start conversations with me and share things they may have otherwise kept to themselves. \r\n\r\nOverall the chairs are a huge hit and I am so thankful you helped make it happen!
