The arrival of our new refrigerator and printer ink has truly transformed our daily routine and significantly improved the quality of life for my students.\r\n\r\nIn our class, we focus on building essential life skills. The refrigerator has become the heart of our weekly cooking lessons, allowing us to safely store fresh ingredients as students learn to prepare simple, nutritious meals. Beyond these lessons, it serves a vital health and emotional purpose.\r\n\r\nFor example, one of my students with severe food sensitivities used to have to carry a heavy insulated bag around all day just to keep their meals safe. Now, they walk into our adjoining room, head straight to the refrigerator, and smile knowing their safe lunch is waiting for them. Having a dedicated spot for their food has removed a huge layer of anxiety from their morning transition and allowed them to focus on learning.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, the printer ink cartridges have been a game-changer for our communication. Since my students thrive with visual aids, we now use it to print high-quality picture supports that enhance their comprehension. Whether it's following a visual recipe independently or navigating a daily schedule, these tools give my students a sense of autonomy and confidence they didn't have before.\r\n\r\nYour support did more than just provide supplies—you provided a safer, healthier, and more accessible environment for my students. I have used them as a reward for on-task behavior, as a classroom management tactic for students who are struggling, and as a safe place for kids to sit while they share hard things with me. It has also enhanced my relationship building, as often the students who sit in them (they are behind my desk) start conversations with me and share things they may have otherwise kept to themselves. \r\n\r\nOverall the chairs are a huge hit and I am so thankful you helped make it happen!
