As they construct ramps, curves, and tracks, they explore balance, motion, and cause and effect in a hands-on way. They test their ideas by sending balls through their designs, observe what happens, and redesign when something doesn't work as planned. The addition of the magnetic figures encourages collaboration and communication, as students work together to act out scenarios and bring their structures to life.\r\n When students were first introduced to the materials, their reaction was pure excitement. They were immediately drawn to the bright tiles and eager to start building, testing, and playing. Many students began experimenting right away. The open-ended nature of the materials made students feel confident and capable. The materials have helped transform our classroom into a space where learning feels playful, collaborative, and meaningful for every child.","fullyFundedDate":1769177689205,"projectUrl":"project/storytelling-with-stem/9890811/","projectTitle":"Storytelling with STEM","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Anderson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1247452"},{"teacherId":1663597,"projectId":9861881,"letterContent":"Thank you very much for your generous donations to my flexible seating project! The children were so excited when the large boxes were delivered to our classroom. As we opened the boxes to reveal the cube chairs and floor rocker chairs, they all wanted to sit in them, even the students who don't need a flexible seating option! So, we just spent some time having the students take turns trying out the different chairs. Their joy was evident on their smiling faces.\r\n\r\nNow that we have had the chairs for a few months, I can report what a blessing it has been to have them. The cube chairs are especially effective during large group lessons, which was my main goal in asking for these seats. The cube chairs give my students with Autism a defined space in which to sit. The boundaries of the chair help them understand where their spot on the carpet is, which helps them to control their bodies. The children are able to remain on the carpet for longer periods of time during the lessons, instead of moving all around the rug or leaving the lesson altogether. The chairs have increased their ability to pay attention and learn the concepts being taught in the lesson. \r\n\r\nThe floor rockers have been great during read-aloud time, when the children get to choose books from our classroom library and read together with an adult, with each other, or on their own. Some of the students enjoy sitting in the rockers during this time. It makes it easier for them to pay attention to their book if they can safely rock at the same time. The rockers have also been a good addition to our calming corner. We put a couple of them there next to our bean bag chairs, and it has given the students another option for calming their bodies when they get anxious or upset.\r\n\r\nOverall, the cube chairs and floor rockers have increased student learning, participation, and self-regulation. I am incredibly grateful to all you amazing donors who have made this possible. I also look forward to my future students benefitting from your generosity for years to come!","fullyFundedDate":1764697564999,"projectUrl":"project/flexible-seating-for-early-childhood-inc/9861881/","projectTitle":"Flexible Seating for Early Childhood Inclusion Class","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Cowley","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1663597_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1541224289608","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/jessie-cowley"},{"teacherId":10088767,"projectId":9490458,"letterContent":"Thank you kindly for your generosity.
