Coming into kindergarten a few years ago, I had to take the available materials that were not being used by others. That meant that I was lacking the complete sets for our listening center. Although teaching sharing is a great skill, it is so important to have a book in each child's hands to work on skills like tracking, recognizing sight words in text, finding beginning sounds in words, and so on. So having these books to complete my sets is so exciting, as they support student learning in literacy immensely! \r\n\r\nWhen I opened up all the books, the students were so excited to see what we had received! And they have not read all of the stories in the listening center, so it also made them excited to see what books they will be reading in the future.
