The space is also used for quiet reading tasks, computer-based learning and simply to rest when we are overwhelmed.\r\n\r\nBeing able to pair books with social stories and social emotional skills has reduced the number of times students are needing to be out of their General Education classroom, as they are quickly picking up new coping strategies, and feel generally calmer knowing they have a designated space to go. \r\n\r\nThe feedback from staff, students and families has been incredible, and we are now spreading these spaces schoolwide!
