It was tricky moving from fourth grade to first grade with regards to materials and supplies. You have helped make that transition possible. When my students found out they have new clipboards to use anywhere while they work they were elated. It took them no time to learn to follow the procedures on how to take them out and put them back into the helpful racks. Students use the clipboards with the heavy duty page protectors to use as whiteboards with dry erase markers to practice skills and create rough drafts. In addition, learning to use an electric sharpener made just for their age give them such ownership and pride when managing their pencils. Our students also absolutely love their new \"Unfinished Work\" folders. The folders are so much easier to keep their things in place. Not to mention the excitement they have when they earn their beautiful new stickers to put them onto the folders and when they have enough to get the opportunity to go to the super fun box of prizes. \r\n\r\nHaving magnets to stick onto the back of charts makes it so much better when first graders are learning from them. We no longer have to tape them onto the whiteboard. The label maker and clear boxes are an absolute godsend when it comes to taking out their math tools. My students have even learned to read the labels with ease! \r\n\r\nAs a teacher, it has been so helpful to have something to manage the cords of my doc cam on my desk rather than have them get in the way of the display. Having the cup holders and magnetic hooks and rods is a perfect way for me to keep my various kinds of markers in order and easy to get to when needed. \r\n\r\nI am truly thankful for all of your kind donations.","fullyFundedDate":1763576141923,"projectUrl":"project/please-help-moving-from-fourth-to-firs/9514161/","projectTitle":"Please Help - Moving from Fourth to First Grade!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Knepher","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1639951_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1534049792705","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1639951"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_26361","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":420,"numTeachers":16,"percentFrplEligible":57,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":8,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":83,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"26.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":80.0,"schoolId":26361,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about El Cerrito Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"El Cerrito Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/la-habra-city-school-district/el-cerrito-elementary-school/26361"}
