Our school district is currently going through many changes and my school, in particular, will be focusing on technology and exploring the world of computer science. However, many of my students come from low income households that have difficulty paying for the basics - keeping up with the latest technology is not a priority. Through the use of robotics, my students will be able to use their current knowledge of video games or social media and learn how to code! To do so, my students will need to design a unique program, experiment with their ideas, and communicate the results with their peers. Having a Mindstorm Education EV3 Core Set will give my students the hands-on experience needed to program and code. Someday they may use these skills to create the next Fortnite! “Talk is cheap. Show me the code.” ― Linus Torvalds
