Over the past year, approximately 220 students have had the opportunity to choose a Kintsugi project, and more than 80 students have participated.\r\n\r\nThe kits have given students two meaningful options. Some have used them to repair pottery that accidentally broke during the creative process, discovering that mistakes don't have to mean the end of a project. Others intentionally designed ceramic pieces to break and reassemble after researching the Japanese art of Kintsugi. As part of the project, students reflected on a time in their own lives that felt broken and explored how healing, growth, or resilience emerged from that experience.\r\n\r\nThe project has created a unique opportunity to connect art with self-reflection and emotional growth. Students learned that broken things can be repaired with care and that imperfections can become part of a story worth celebrating.
