Because of your generosity, I was able to provide my students with meaningful resources including SEL books, hands-on materials, and everyday essentials like tape and cleaning wipes that help keep our space organized and ready for learning.\r\n\r\nAs a school counselor, I use these resources daily during small groups, classroom lessons, and one-on-one support. One moment that really stood out was during a small group focused on managing emotions. We read one of our new SEL books together, and students were able to openly share their feelings and make personal connections to the story. Using the new materials, they practiced calming strategies and worked through real-life scenarios in a safe, supportive way. It created such a powerful space for growth and connection.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, students were immediately excited especially about the new books. They were eager to read, explore, and use the tools. For many of them, it made counseling feel more inviting and engaging, which helped them open up more easily and participate fully.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we are continuing to build on these skills through ongoing SEL lessons and group work. Students will be applying what they've learned like problem-solving, emotional regulation, and positive communication—in real-life situations both in and out of the classroom. These resources will continue to support future groups and help even more students develop the skills they need to succeed.\r\n\r\nYour kindness has made a lasting impact on our school community. Thank you for helping create a space where students feel safe, supported, and ready to grow.","fullyFundedDate":1769177381314,"projectUrl":"project/feelings-matter/9926690/","projectTitle":"Feelings Matter","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Herrera","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8655103_orig.png?crop=271,271,x26,y126&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1672942759950","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8655103"},{"teacherId":10051133,"projectId":9555702,"letterContent":"I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the materials donated to our class.
