With books at different reading levels and across different genres and topics, every student in my 10th and 11th grade classes can find something that engages them. When students are reading books they actually care about, they naturally develop stronger reading comprehension, critical thinking skills, and a genuine love of reading. That foundation matters far more than forcing everyone through the same text.\r\n\r\nReading in my classroom has become something students choose to do, not just something they have to do. Your donations have helped tremendously because a lot of the novels donated have been checked out. \r\n\r\nMy boys have started their reading project this last quarter of the school year, and they are finally excited to keep reading.
