The lab trays, caddies, spray and squirt bottles for sterilization and sanitation, bench labels, and prep materials you funded have completely transformed how we run lab days. When the supplies arrived, students immediately noticed the difference. One student looked around and said, \"This actually feels like a real lab now\" and that moment said everything.\r\n\r\nWe've already put everything to use. Students are working in small groups at labeled benches, each station stocked with their own tray of materials and sanitation supplies. Before your donation, we were sharing limited resources, spending valuable class time tracking down supplies or improvising with what we had. Now, students move through lab procedures independently and confidently, practicing the same sanitation and prep protocols used in professional and medical lab settings. It's been a genuine shift in how seriously they engage with the work.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we're diving deeper into lab-based investigations that require consistent, repeatable setups, exactly what your materials make possible. Students are currently preparing for an extended lab project where they'll design their own procedures, and having properly organized, sanitized workstations means they can focus entirely on their scientific thinking rather than logistics. Your contribution didn't just stock a classroom; it gave these students the experience of being real scientists. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart and theirs.","fullyFundedDate":1773571185616,"projectUrl":"project/keeping-labs-sterile-and-clean/10150026/","projectTitle":"Keeping Labs Sterile and Clean!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Rizzi","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1231551_orig.png?crop=293,293,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1758913244693","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1231551"},{"teacherId":7792483,"projectId":10038027,"letterContent":"Thank you for your amazing donation to my classroom library. As student interests change, it's essential that my library stay up to date. Our decades old printer has required a lot of maintenance and upkeep. The new printer added to our fleet has helped to expedite prints, bring ideas to life quicker, and improve the quality of our designs and products.\r\n\r\nThrough the process, we have been inspired to get designing again, finding ways to problem solve in our local ecosystem, environment, and lab space while practicing entrepreneurship with design and sales of our trinkets. Oddly, there was fierce competition for carrots, broccoli, and buttercrunch lettuce, lol. Not so much for the kale. The additional yarn, hooks, and supplies you helped provide allowed my students to take this project further than we had originally imagined. With a greater variety of materials available, students had more flexibility in their designs and were able to explore creative solutions beyond the initial coral reef concept. This variety sparked experimentation and empowered students to make meaningful choices in their work.\r\n\r\nAs the project developed, our Sculpture class began to discuss ways to connect their art more directly to our school community. Students themselves advocated for more freedom, leading to the idea of \"yarn bombing\" the campus. While some students continued crocheting coral reefs, others created Minions, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, internal organs (displayed near our BioTech classroom), and playful fruits and flowers. These imaginative works found their way onto architectural features and natural spaces around campus, transforming ordinary places into vibrant, unexpected galleries.\r\n\r\nThe impact was felt far beyond the classroom. Students, teachers, and staff shared photos on Instagram and talked enthusiastically about the colorful surprises around campus.
