Students are in the Therapeutic Classroom program here at Oak Grove during lunch and break to learn and practice social skills in my room. They also use my classroom as a calming space to practice their coping skills when they are feeling distressed. This microwave is essential for them to be able to eat their lunches while they use the space to work on these skills. We appreciate any donations to help to continue to make this space a "calming, homey, safe space" for them to go to during lunch, break, and before and after school.
