Over the span of a month, students worked both during and outside of class to cut and assemble wood and metal parts, learning to safely operate new tools while applying key concepts in manufacturing and design. They took great pride in transforming a cluttered area into a functional workspace that will benefit all future engineering students.\r\n\r\nThe rotary tools and bits were essential to our Printed Circuit Board (PCB) project, a hands-on unit where students design, etch, and drill their own circuit boards before soldering components to test functionality. Having multiple sets of rotary tools allowed more students to work simultaneously—reducing wait times and increasing productivity—while also helping them gain experience with real-world engineering processes.\r\n\r\nStudents were excited to use professional-grade tools that mirror those found in actual engineering and manufacturing environments. For many students, this was their first time using many of these hand tools and commented that the experience gave them more confidence in their next projects. Through these projects, students developed critical problem-solving, teamwork, and technical skills that will prepare them for future projects in college and beyond.\r\n\r\nYour generosity made these experiences possible—not just for this year's students, but for many more to come. Thank you for helping us create meaningful, hands-on learning opportunities that inspire the next generation of engineers and innovators.","fullyFundedDate":1745494609165,"projectUrl":"project/equipped-to-innovate-tools-for-digital/9264264/","projectTitle":"Equipped to Innovate: Tools for Digital Electronics & Manufacturing","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Chou","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7612013_orig.jpg?crop=1028,1028,x123,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1745276116286","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7612013"},{"teacherId":3435006,"projectId":5369984,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for the books!
